The latest issue of Japan’s Weekly Shonen Jump had a preview for a new series called Bakuman. What is Bakuman? It is a new manga from the team that created Death Note, Tsugumi Ohba (writer) and Takeshi Obata (artist). It will start in issue 37-38 of this year’s run of the Weekly Shonen Jump.
Oddly enough, this series seems like it will be about manga. A shonen series about mangaka? Well, hopefully it will be good. No word on the genre to my knowledge, but I have a feeling it will be comedy.
The issue goes on sale August 11th.
