Jumpland

For some time now Jumpland has been up and available in multiple languages.  One of which is English.  This is celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Weekly Shonen Jump.  Here you can learn about the magazine itself as well as read manga online.  So if you are a fan of shonen manga, this is a site you may want to check out.  Here is a list of what the site has to offer, so check it out!

The One Piece characters lead to a section called “What is Weekly Shonen Jump?”  In this section you can find out about the history of the magazine and what it stands for.  It also has a two part interview with the Editor-In-Chief.  Basically in this section you can find out how new series are selected, as well as how new artists can enter the business.

The Naruto characters lead to a section which updates on events around the world.  One of the big ones for the summer was Jump Expo in Japan.  The Death Note characters lead to essentially the same place highlighting the events and what is going on.

The Bleach characters lead to an online manga page where you can read the first few chapters of Bleach, D.Gray-Man and Death Note in color.  Also, recently added was the first chapter of Bakuman.  So if you have not read it yet, this is the perfect opportunity to do!  Kon on the logo of the magazine will link to another page for a Dragon Ball widget game.  Complete the game and you get a wallpaper.

The D.Gray-Man character will link you to a section where you can fill out a survey and say what you’d like to see.

Finally, clicking Son Goku from Dragon Ball will link you to the Jumpin’ History Game.  Here you take control of Goku and jump as high as you can collecting cards.  There are 80 cards in all.  The normal cards will have info on series of Jump.  The special cards will be for the more well-known series and have a mini movie that you can watch.  The history cards will talk about certain events of the magazine’s history with a wallpaper you can download.
