The Worst Television Show of All Time

I was hung over, and I watched it. I don’t know why I did it, but I did, and it was the worst decision of my life. I thought about breaking my TV afterwards. I thought about dropping out of college to dedicate my life to stopping things like this. I thought about alot of things after watching this show, so I decided it might as well be worth writing about. Paris Hilton’s My New BFF…

Note to reader: Don’t EVER watch this show, and if you have a daughter, make it your #1 priority as a parent to never even let her HEAR about this show, or about Paris Hilton in general. It will be the best thing you could ever do for her.

For those who are unaware, BFF stands for “Best Friend Forever”. So…yeah, kinda self explanatory. To give you a little background on the show,  about 15 contestants (almost all female, but I saw a few gay males in the mix) have signed up to live in a house for 2 months or so to battle it out for the title of Paris Hilton’s New BFF. Due to Nicole Ritchie’s cocaine, alcohol and cock addictions, she is looking for a new person to drag down with her, and what better idea than to broadcast this destruction of the female sex on national television??  Why anyone in the world would want to be on this show is beyond me. My guess is they were already homeless and this looked like the best option for 2 months, in which case I guess its a good idea, but I would rather be homeless. The contestants on this show are just as you’d imagine: soulless, make up plastered alcoholics who want to be famous, and will do anything to obtain it. Some of the challenges on the show I witnessed were things like “Man Polo”, where the girls rode around on the backs of shirtless men and played miniature polo, or the “24 Hour Party Challenge”, where Paris tested the girls on how long they could party for. Some of them couldn’t make it. What a shame.

The show portrays Paris Hilton as a goddess. She is constantly speaking from a higher position down to the contestants and sitting in thrones surrounded by her servants. Television shows that idolize people like Paris Hilton or “New York” from flavor of love should be ashamed of themselves. Sure the ratings probably do ok, but the effects of this show are much worse. Don’t get me wrong, I love a girl who sometimes just wants to get hammered and hook up with a random stranger. It’s one of the beauties of college. But to make a career out of it? To have 7 year old girls looking up to people like this? Its just plain sad. MTV should be ashamed of themselves. I feel bad for all the respectable, intelligent females in the world, because the female sex has just been set back a few years because of this show.

Please to your best as a parent, brother, sister, or just a plain human being to stop people from watching this show. Please, for the children.
