Battlemouth

Saturday night at New York Comic Con, the first 45 minutes of Disney-Pixar’s Up was shown to a limited audience of about 300. I had the pleasure of being one of those people. So here is what I thought of the movie thus far. Don’t worry, no spoilers here!

I was a bit worried from seeing the trailers that it didn’t look like it would be anything special. Stupid me for doubting Pixar! The movie is good, really good thus far. It was just so engaging to watch and when the 45 minutes were up, I couldn’t believe that much time had passed! I wanted more! I am not really going to comment on the music or sound too much, because it isn’t finished yet and things will be touched-up between now and release, but it is great. The flow of the film also works well. The film also had an emotional montage done so beautifully toward the beginning of the film which was a great set-up for the rest of the film. There was not a single time when I was wanting the next scene to just come already.

Cute, emotional, funny, and packed for adventure; Up is definitely a movie you should be looking forward to on May 29th!
