Exclusive : 7 Questions with Chris Ryall

What do “Star Trek”, “Transformers”, “G.I. Joe”, “Terminator”, “Angel”, and Robots, Zombies, Amazons, and Vampires have in common? I’ll give you a clue…ok I’ll just fucking tell you…IT’S IDW PUBLISHING! As you can see from a few of my previous posts, I am a bit of a fan. But, did you know that IDW publishing [...]

EXCLUSIVE BEN TEMPLESMITH INTERVIEW and Groom Lake Review

Ben Templesmith…where to begin. I suppose that a good place to start would be the beginning. The beginning (or return to, rather) of my love affair with comics. My good friend and fellow reviewer Phil always was giving me lists of comics to read, and for some reason or other I just never got around [...]

G.I. JOE ORIGINS

G.I. JOE ORIGINS

I must admit first off that this review is only being done because of the very special place that the subject matter holds in my heart. I was born in the early 80’s. I am ,for clarification purposes, a male, and as such was introduced to many “boy” geared toys, cap-guns, Hot Wheels, Matchbox Cars, [...]

Watchmen

(Before I begin, I’ll note that this is all opinion on my part and doesn’t reflect the views of the rest of the moviegoing public or other fans of the source for that matter. Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) leads the investigation. So you basically have a guy who acts like a big kid helping a detective who plays by the rules. So is it good?

Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad

I tend to steer clear of most television shows for fear of brain washing, but every once in a while a show comes along that needs mentioning. Everyone has by now heard of (if not seen) “Mad Men” from AMC, but little is being said about Vince Gilligan’s (of X-files fame) creation “Breaking [...]

The Roberts

First of all I would just like to thank Justin Shady for not going with his initial idea about two grandmothers living in a retirement home and exploring their long suppressed lesbian tendencies. While I think that such a story would make for fine reading and a world of excitement I’m just not so [...]

Crossed

The study of eschatology is definitely an expansive area of study. Theories on the end of everything range from nuclear war, to a new epidemic, to zombies, and even rabid homosexuals sucking the straightness right out of your neck (in some smaller circles). I am not sure however if anyone has seen coming what Garth Ennis and [...]
