Shall I call you Logan, Weapon X?

By now it is no big secret that I am not a giant Wolverine fan. In fact, wolv070_covalong with Cyclops and Jubilee, he is one of my least favorite mutants. However I do happen to very much enjoy Mark Millar (Ultimate Avengers, Kick-Ass, Wanted). If you aren’t sure with where I am headed already…then you didn’t read issue 66-72 of Wolverine. Thats right this Wednesday Wolverine “Old Man Logan” is back with Mark Millar and  the incredibly talented pencils of Steve McNiven for the conclusion of this fantastic arc. A 64 page mega issue with a price tag of 4.99 is not all that horrible to pay, especially for a chance to see Logan come home and show the Hulk Gang whats what!

Old Man Logan” is a character in an eight-issue story arc in ongoing comic book series Wolverine by the writer Mark Millar and artist Steve McNiven that debuted with Wolverine #66 in June 2008. Set more than fifty years in the future, it features a similar set up to another Millar book, Wanted, in which the world’s super villains ganged together to finally destroy almost all superheroes.

Logan lives with his wife Maureen, his son Scotty and daughter Jade on a plot of land in Sacramento, California, now part of land known as “Hulkland”. He requires money to pay his rent to the landlords of this territory: the descendants of Bruce Banner, the Hulk, who are a product of years of incestuous procreation. In order to pay off his rent, Logan accepts a job from Hawkeye: help him navigate across the country and deliver a secret package, possibly illegal. (taken from wikipedia)

For the record…Hawkeye is starting to grow on me…not in an one specific arc…just the character as a whole.
