Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is clearly going to try to give Modern Warfare 2 a run for it’s money…
Whether or not it will be a good run, is another matter. Regardless of all the strides each companies respective game is making it seems with all the recent drama surrounding EA and Infinity Ward (see the battleboards for more opinions on the subject) this might just come down to who you are more loyal to. EA destroyed football games for me back when they shut down ESPN sports…(shut up, ESPN football was WAY better than Madden and you know it) and I will find it hard to forgive them for that for a long time. It is really quite comical, in fact, if you google “EA Sucks” how many boycott petitions and blogs pop up dedicated to the subject…HOWEVER…Battlefield: Bad Company 2 looks kind of good. We have seen plenty of info and pics from CoDMW2 but only recently, as the Tokyo Game Show rages overseas in Oceania, are we seeing more from EA on BBC2.
First off, have some pretty, new screenshots that were released in a special “press only” conference.
In addition to some very pretty screenshots we have also just heard that, among many other upgrades since the first Bad Company, your vehicles will, for the first time in a Battlefield game, be customizable.
Now before you get all crazy and start talking about gold plated grills and shiny chrome rims…

…thats not the type of customizing we are talking. However you will be able to upgrade armour, firepower, a zooming in type mechanism, an electrical radar type device that will allow you to track your enemy, and even some lovely smoke grenade launchers for your very own portable “ninja tank vanish”. With a March 2010 release day ther will surely be plenty more great info to come.
