Flight of the Conchords…Rock Band? *UPDATED*

I didn’t watch the Emmy’s…and frankly…I am not sorry. I figure, anymore if something interesting happens I will surely see a reference to it in every person I follow on twitter’s tweets the next day. Proving that hypothesis to be correct….. the day after the Emmy’s I was twatted many a time about Doctor Horrible and Mad Men and blah blah blah whocarestvkillsyoursoul. However I DID NOT hear about the BIGGEST Emmy news of all! Apparently prior to the show on the dastardly rumor mill that the red carpet always is, Jermaine and Bret (The New Zealand Sunny and Cher also known as Flight of the Conchords), in an interview with some douche bag, admitted that they will have a nice little 3 song pack DLC update coming in the future to Rock Band.

Dear Jesus….please let it be true.

Unfortunatley Harmonix has yet to confirm….OR deny…which is good because that means I still have time to save up to get mine.

All this talk of Rock Band DLC reminds me of a video I saw recently….check it out :

**UPDATED AS OF 5:00PM WED SEPTEMBER 23, 2009
Sub Pop Records, the record label of Flight of the Conchords, confirmed that three songs will be released as DLC for Rock Band! So far no song titles have been released, however, Sub Pop did say that two songs will be from the bands original album and the third song will be from the bands new album (release date October 20). No word as to how the content will be available (3 pack or individual songs). Harmonix representatives stated that Sub Pop’s original claim that the tracks would be available in late October to coincide with the release of the new album…doesn’t look like it will work out, but never fear, they also stated that while it doesn’t look like the October 20th date will happen, it will be soon after!**
